Damma Zukunft – Ganz ohne Hass

Sozialpädagogische Wohneinrichtung Schloss Leonstein – Projekt „Dammawos“ (AT)

Damma Zukunft – Ganz ohne Hass ist ein Musikvideo zu einem selbstgeschriebenen Rap. Es geht um die Zukunftspläne und Träume der teilnehmenden Künstler*innen. Jede*r präsentiert in einer Strophe den eigenen persönlichen Zukunftswunsch. Im gemeinsamen Refrain geht es darum, warum man Träume braucht, und darum, dass sie sich eine gute Welt für alle wünschen. Eine Welt ohne Hass. Das Team wollte mit dem Rap zeigen, dass man trotz schwierigen Situationen einen positiven Blick auf die Zukunft haben kann. Dass es sich lohnt, nie aufzugeben. Aber genau dazu braucht es einen Traum und die Bereitschaft, sich auf die Zukunft einzulassen. Denn die Zukunft beginnt in der Gegenwart. 

Aus vielen Ideen ist schließlich ein ganz besonderes Musikvideo entstanden. Aufgenommen wurde alles mit Smartphones, den Beat hat das Team mit BandLab gestaltet und nebenbei die Melodie zum Refrain entwickelt. Das Cutting übernahm einer der Jugendlichen in mühsamer Kleinarbeit. 
Jedes Teammitglied hat mit seiner unverwechselbaren Art dazu beigetragen, den Rap zu dem zu machen, was er ist.  

Damma Zukunft – Ganz ohne Hass (Let’s Create the Future – Completely without Hate)
is a music video for a self-written rap. It's about the participating artists' future plans and dreams. Each artist presents their own personal future aspirations in a verse. The shared chorus is about why we need dreams and how they wish for a good world for everyone. A world without hate. With the rap, the team wanted to show that, despite difficult situations, you can have a positive outlook on the future. That it's worth never giving up. But that's exactly what requires a dream and the willingness to embrace the future. Because the future begins in the present.

Many ideas ultimately resulted in a very special music video. Everything was recorded on smartphones, the team created the beat using BandLab, and developed the melody for the chorus along the way. One of the young people painstakingly took on the cutting.

Each team member contributed their own distinctive style to making rap what it is.

Social educators: Barbara Hermanik, Sarah Wasserthal, Tamara Geiblinger, Jakob Haberpeuntner, Kaltrina F. (intern) 

Christoph, Leon, Leonardo, Luca, Lucia, Lucius, Michelle, Mona, Nada, Riccarda, Shanaya und Tobias (*2006–2016) – das sind die jungen Künstler*innen dieses Projekts. Sie sind bei SKIP oder leben im Schloss Leonstein, einer sozialpädagogischen Wohneinrichtung. Manche von ihnen befinden sich aktuell in einer Krisenunterbringung, andere sind bereits Teil einer festen Wohngruppe. Sie erleben die Gegenwart nicht immer nur einfach – umso wertvoller war es, hier einen Raum zu haben, in dem alle mit ihren Ideen willkommen waren. Es war ein lebendiger, fröhlicher Prozess voller gemeinsamer Kreativität.

Christoph, Leon, Leonardo, Luca, Lucia, Lucius, Michelle, Mona, Nada, Riccarda, Shanaya and Tobias (*2006–2016) are the young artists involved in this project. They are either currently in crisis support accommodation (SKIP) or they live at Schloss Leonstein, a social-educational residential facility. Their present life isn't always easy—which made it all the more important to have a space here where everyone was welcome to share their ideas. It was a lively, joyful process full of shared creativity.

Das Video berührt auf ganz besondere Weise. Es betont die Kraft und die Notwendigkeit von Visionen für die Zukunft, von individuellen wie kollektiven Träumen und vor allem die Wichtigkeit, gemeinsame Kräfte zu bündeln. Es wirft die Betrachter*innen auf das zurück, was sie dazu beitragen, um Zukunft zu gestalten und zeigt, welche sozialen Skills für eine gelungene Fokussierung auf gemeinsame Intentionen notwendig sind.
Die Schutzbedürftigkeit der Verfasser*innen und Performer*innen des Raps ist nicht nur im Kontext der sozialpädagogischen Einrichtung, in der diese Arbeit entstanden ist, emotional aufwühlend, sondern auch, weil sie stellvertretend für die Schutzbedürftigkeit aller Kinder und deren Zukunft gesehen werden kann.
Die Kombination aus dem Einsatz digitaler Tools zum Generieren des Beats, dem Heranziehen von KI als Unterstützung beim Schreiben des gemeinsamen Refrains und den authentischen Stimmen ist jedenfalls sehr gelungen.  

The video is touching in a very special way. It emphasizes the power and necessity of visions for the future, of individual and collective dreams, and above all, the importance of joining forces. It reminds viewers of what they are contributing to shaping the future and demonstrates the social skills necessary for successfully focusing on shared intentions.
The vulnerability of the rap's authors and performers is emotionally stirring not only in the context of the social-educational institution in which this work was created, but also because it can be seen as representative of the vulnerability of all children and their future.
The combination of using digital tools to generate the beat, using AI to support the writing of the collective chorus, and the authentic voices is certainly very successful.
